Award to The Mandela Rhodes Foundation
The Leverhulme Trustees have been seeking ways to provide scholarships outside the UK, thus ensuring that the benefits of the Founder’s wealth, which was generated internationally, can be enjoyed internationally. This summer The Leverhulme Trust awarded £2.5m to The Mandela Rhodes Foundation to assist in the achievement of its vision for the scholarship programme: to have 100 Mandela Rhodes Scholars from across Africa, in residence per year from 2012. The Trust’s grant will, over a period of five years, lead to the permanent endowment of 10 scholarships at the Foundation. Read the full article

Technology Transfer Awards 2008
In 2008 The Leverhulme Trust continued the scheme whereby it awards prizes to those working in universities in the Netherlands who had shown success in transferring research results between the industrial and academic sectors. Read the full article
